Meet Our Team
THE CASE LAW FIRM lawyers have years of experience providing you the legal representation YOU need, personally tailor designed to your situation. Your team will be led by attorney, Edwin Arevalo, Heston Harless and Richard Conn.
Edwin Arevalo is an attorney with 13 years of experience as a Texas State Bar Licensed Attorney. He has a wide range of legal experience prior to opening his own office in 2005. He is a graduate of the Law School at University of Houston-Victoria, graduating in June 2004 second of eight graduates.
Heston R. Harless, Sr. joined THE CASE LAW FIRM as Of Counsel to better serve his existing Estate/Probate clients and to expand our Real Estate and Business Transaction law practice. The new association will allow us to respond to client matters more quickly without the burden of maintaining an office, staff, photocopiers, fax machines, business licenses and all the other infrastructure required of a “stand alone” law firm. Mr. Harless received a B.B.A degree in Accounting from The University of North Texas in December 1996 and his Juris Doctorate law degree from South Texas College of Law, Houston, Texas in May 2000. Prior to joining the firm of Evington, Conn & Associates, PLLC, Attorney Harless maintained the law firm of Jacobs, Harless & Shuford on Homer Adams Parkway for 12 years.
Richard Conn brings more than two decades of tax-related litigation and dispute resolution background to THE CASE LAW FIRM practice. Having originally entered the legal field almost two decades ago as an IRS Revenue Agent, he later accepted the agency’s offer to cross-train as a Special Agent, assuming the responsibility for cases involving fraud and criminal tax investigations, and ultimately administering the agency’s Audit Technique Guides, at taxpayer-friendly exam levels, teaching Revenue Agent examination techniques, and managing fraud referrals. Having entered private practice in 1994, Richard has almost twenty years of success representing and protecting taxpayers from all walks of life against unintended consequences involving tax, civil, and criminal matters. He represents today taxpayers throughout the United States at all administrative levels, in Tax Court, Federal and State District Courts, and U.S. Courts of Appeals, embracing both civil and criminal controversies arising under federal and state tax laws, and ERISA.
